We believe that the gospel calls us to grow in our love for Jesus Christ and to strive daily to become more Christ-like. This means we as a people must be daily committed to reading the scriptures and asking God to continually sanctify us as we seek His will for our lives. We must strive to reflect our love for Jesus Christ by being humble and sacrificial servants to our families, each other and to those who are lost.
Worship Focused
We believe that the gospel calls us to worship and glorify God. God has blessed us by providing for us in every detail of our lives, most particularly as His adopted children through the saving work of Jesus Christ. Our gratitude for His love must be expressed through our eternal devotion and praise to our Triune God with dynamic and faithful worship.
Gospel Focused
We believe in the power of the gospel to change lives. God has blessed us with the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. We understand through the truth of the Holy Scriptures and the work of the Holy Spirit, God changes people by the preaching and teaching of His Word. It is only through His gospel that our community and nation may be truly healed. Because of this we must be committed to being gospel-focused in the church.
Prayer Focused
We believe that the gospel calls us to seek God in prayer. God has called us to commune with Him through our prayers, and to offer up our desires to Him, seeking His will, with confession of our sins, and thankful acknowledgment of his mercies.
Service Focused
We believe that the gospel calls all believers to a life of service. This conviction means building a church that encourages and helps its members to minister and serve in the church and community, through understanding and using the spiritual gifts that God has given us, for the spreading of His gospel.
Outreach Focused
We believe that the gospel calls us to go out into the world and make disciples of all people and nations. We must understand that even in the church of Jesus Christ, man because of the fall, has a predisposition to become self-focused and to put up barriers that will keep the world out, thus hindering the spread of the gospel. Because of this we must create an environment that embraces the community by tearing down these barriers. We must seek to build bridges in order to open doors that will enable the church to reach the unbelieving world with the true Word of God. This environment will embrace Unity in Essentials, Flexibility in non-Essentials, and Charity in all Things.
Mercy Focused
We believe that the gospel calls us to reach out to those in need. Spiritual rebirth changes our focus from seeking our own welfare to looking out for the needs of others. We must desire to be a church that looks for the opportunities that God sets before us. We must bring the healing grace of Jesus Christ to those who are hurting and in need, whether that need is physical, emotional or spiritual.
Relationship Focused
We believe that the gospel calls us to be a community of believers. Because the church is healthiest when Christian fellowship and encouragement is strong, we must desire to create an environment that facilitates strong and sacrificial relationships, through the use of small groups of common interests.
Family Focused
We believe that the gospel teaches that the Christian family is God’s institution for raising God centered children by and through the love, nurture and example of Christian parents. We must be committed to building up the Christian family as the foundation of a strong, healthy church and nation.
